Alright peeps

So, the new FA Premiership season is soon to begin, I take it that we'll do a fantasy league again. Now, do we stick with the old one, which gives you one transfer a month, or choose the offical premiership fantasy league ....

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

The one above offers unlimited transfers, however only one a week is free, there after your deducted 4 points for every addition transfer per month, so this one requires a bit more didication to do well on.

What one guys?

Or, apparently the Channel 4 one is usually quite good, and is free to play. It isn't starting til August, but this is a link to their game last season.

The good thing is you can only have 2 players per club, and also the point scoring system looks better than the one we did last season. There is also no choice about formation, you have to play 4-4-2.

Unsure about C4, they have a habbit of throwing a load of adverts down your throat, which gets kinda annoying.

In the FA premierleague one, you can only have 3 from each club, and you choose 2 keepers, 5 def, 5 mid and 3 strickers, you have 4 subs, who automatically swap in if one of the main team players doesn't play, usual formation is 4-4-2, but it doesn't offer any advantages over anything else, ie goalies, defenders, midfielders and sticker all score similar points.

EDIT, had a look at channel 4, doesn't seem to be much advertising at all, however I don't l;ike the way how it basically ends every month!

Yeah the monthly thing on C4 is a bit weird.

However, personally I'm not a fan of the having a subs thing as it makes the game too easy. The whole challenge is in picking 11 players that are going to play regularly and not get injured, if you have subs you'll be constantly changing the 11 around and having a squad to pick from rather than just 11 players makes things a bit too easy I reckon.

Also, unlimited transfers just makes it even less of a challenge! Ok, only one of those a week is free, but thats still a new transfer every week! Last season we only had one a month, which i reckon is better as it requires you to think ahead a lot more.

Kimble's suggestion could be a good one actually, stick with the old one but add in our own rules about number of players from each club?

well, i have created a league on the premiership thing, its not as easy as you think as you still only have 100m to pick your team and subs, its also kind of similar to Telegraphs one which you pay for, it is very good, i have high hopes for this one. it has its own forum as well

have a look and join

league name = Beat Mork

Maximum of 2 players per club, and anything else that we thought was crap about the last one?

Otherwise, the premiership one is probably the next best option. But having subs and unlimited transfers seems a little bit gay.
